Welcome to Tom’s Carnivores.
Whether you’re a long-time greenhouse grower or simply curious about Venus flytraps, I hope to make this website your go-to place for growing guides, book reviews, resources and photos. From pitchers to sundews, monkey cups to cobra lilies, we’ll cover carnivorous plants of every kind.
Things are a little sparse at the moment, but that will soon change. The site’s first guides are launching imminently - this section will be home to a range of interactive tools and full-length tutorials, useful to growers worldwide. Here on the blog, you can expect to find regular growing tips, FAQs, interviews and photo showcases.
The site is being developed continuously, so you can expect to see features which are currently missing - like comments, RSS feeds, and so on - to appear in due course. For those who are interested, this site is doubling as an exercise in modern web development: instead of a typical platform like WordPress, I’m using Hugo with npm as my build tool, GitHub, and Netlify.
You can contact me at email@example.com. If you’ve got questions you’d like answered on the blog, have an idea for a new resource, or you’ve found a bug with the site, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Thanks, and happy growing!
