Nepenthes glandulifera x trusmadiensis

This is an exciting new hybrid produced by Christian Klein. The large, attractive, hairy pitchers of Nepenthes glandulifera paired with the stunning natural hybrid Nepenthes x trusmadiensis should make for a winning combination.

The first photo shows a typical sale plant - these are small but established plants (5-7cm diameter). As you’ll see, the markings and colouration are already fantastic. The second image shows the male parent plant, N. x trusmadiensis, a hybrid which combines the tough, colourful pitchers of N. lowii with the toothy N. macrophylla, and which is always a great infleunce in hybrids.

While I grow these successfully in my highland greenhouse, I expect this cross will be tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions, and particularly of warmer temperatures. The seed parent (N. glandulifera) is best classed as an intermediate, and hybrids with this hirsute species are often particularly adaptable to lower humidity conditions, in my experience. For more cultivation advice, see my Nepenthes Growing Guide.

Postage costs £6 via first class signed-for delivery in the UK, and is free for orders over £70. This plant will be sent potted.
