This is an extremely promising seed-grown hybrid produced by Christian Klein. The large, attractive, hairy pitchers of Nepenthes glandulifera paired with Christian’s stunning candy-striped Nepenthes veitchii should make for a winning combination.
The first photo shows a mature specimen from a different grex of the same cross, grown by Konrad Kutter. The next two images show the medium-sized plants (10-12cm diameter) which are for sale. As you’ll see, the markings and colouration are already fantastic. The last image shows the male parent plant.
While I grow these successfully in my highland greenhouse, I expect this cross will be tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions, and particularly of warmer temperatures. The parent species can both be classed as intermediates, and hybrids with N. veitchii are often particularly adaptable to lower humidity conditions, in my experience. For more cultivation advice, see my Nepenthes Growing Guide.
Postage costs £6 via first class signed-for delivery in the UK, and is free for orders over £70. This plant will be sent potted.
